24 x 12 Fluid Mixed Media on gallery wrapped canvas

Two ducks emerge in this painting bringing with them a reminder to adjust to change with grace and resiliency. Ducks remind us that it is okay to wander towards wherever our instincts lead us. With changing seasons comes a need to place ourselves elsewhere in the universe sometimes. These ducks bring an energy of perseverance and so called “diving in”; even if there is something blocking it’s way, the duck understands when the risk is necessary to get to the other side. If you are drawn to this painting, ask yourself what impending change these ducks have came to serve you through?

Renewal
Renewal

Dragons are incredibly powerful and emerge in different forms, each of which are connected to an element. The dragon that emerged in Renew is wingless; in this form, dragons are typically considered to be related to the element of water. In Chinese folklore, dragons are associated with the season of mid-spring - occurring roughly around equinox as the earth begins to regenerate. We can look to the dragon’s energy to bring us courage and strength during times of transitions and renewal in our own life. Just as the dragon sheds its scales, so too can we shed what is no longer serving us during our time of renewal. Some cultures believe water dragons are the ultimate symbol of balance because they can dive to the deepest depths of the sea and can also soar to the highest heavens. We can look to the water dragon to remind us that meeting each extreme allows us to achieve equilibrium - our life must be an amalgamation of lows and highs in order to achieve balance. Water dragons carry energy of regeneration, connection, courage and protection - all of these qualities make dragons the ideal power animal to act as a guardian and guide on our journey towards balance and renewal.
